New Facebook Application test.

Just checking to see if I got this application right. My computer says "it's 99 feels like 108 " Went swimming with David and Ryan while "girls" had wedding shower at their house. Ryan is getting more adventurous in the pool. He has a "Puddle Jumper" floating device that fits on his chest and arms. He goes splashing and kicking and blowing bubbles.

72nd birthday last Wednesday. Lasted longer than anyone of my progenators. Sister, Sherrill, still with us. She is 3 years older than I. Strange weather this year. 95 degrees one day and rain the next. High in 80's even on rainy days. Still making good use of apt. swimming pool. Spent the day at Cole's house yesterday. Cole & Ellen getting read for Nic & Krista's wedding shower this afternoon. David is going to Florida next week to work on trainers his company sold to military. Cole is going to spend a few days with him while Ryan stays with David's parents. I have a Dr.'s appt. Monday. Diabetes out of control. Probably have to start insulin shots. Don't like to poke myself. It's either that or body breakdown. Maybe they will find a cure or less intrusive control soon.

Worked in Food Bank Thursday. No one there when we got there a little after noon. Morning workers all out of town. We helped 23 families Thursday afternoon. Would have been over 40 families if someone had worked in the morning. Hope everyone in need got helped. There are many other agencies that have food pantries but I think we are one of the most available ones. (We are open more hours a week than most.)

Ellen and I will go to Carbondale church tomorrow evening to hear Doug preach. They rotate some of the men in the congregation to preach on Sunday evening.

Doug has almost completed a new transformer bustron. More involved than first one and will actually transform from bus to robot. Doug and family just got back from Chicago area where they took "Bustron I". The 'tron' gets lots of attention wherever they go. Corporate HQ seems really pleased with Doug's creations.

It rained during the night. Looking out the apartment front window I see pairs of squirrels playing chase in the trees and apartment roof-tops. Our apartment complex looks like a state park lodge with 100 apartments and many oak and pine trees and many varities of shrubs and flowers. The birds and squirrels love it. We also have mallard ducks that visit the pond on the property.

Retirement is great and we will continue to injoy each day as long a the SS checks keep coming in. Thanks to all you young taxpayers.
